The current communications architecture imposes an O(n) cardinality of incoming connections from other servers within the cluster. Restricted static candidacy is a proposed solutions to this.
Wide area redirection using HTTP redirection instead of internal proxying. This could feasibly be decided by TTL on multicast packets.
Decision function for enabling/disabling proxying to certain hosts without interrupting operation.
